OpenApp Ltd. 

Senior Developer April 2013 - Present

Senior developer during a period which saw the company triple in size to become the leading provider of healthcare analytics software in Ireland and a major player in the patient registry market in Europe. OpenApp uses an agile process collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to produce highly customised software solutions.

Key developer in a number of web based, patient-centric, healthcare applications. Some key projects include the European Reference Network, an application developed for the European Commission for rare disease experts across Europe to collaborate in order to improve patient care, and the National Quality Assurance Intelligence System, a data analysis, visualisation and reporting tool developed for the Irish Health Service Executive which analyses key metrics for every patient that is cared for in an Irish public hospital.

Both the above applications are built with python and postgres on the back end and AngularJS and D3.js on the front end.

Apart from development responsibilities also given a number of other tasks including new hire onboarding, client engagement and presenting at conferences.

Accelerate Executive Search 

Non Executive Director & Technical Advisor Februrary 2016 - Present

As founding director played a key role in advising on the technical infrastructure of Accelerate, an international executive recruitment firm, which enabled the company to become operational very quickly and contributed to the early and continuing success of the company.

Active participant in company strategy and regular directors' meetings.

Graduated with a first class honour BSc in experimental physics (GPA 3.68). Studied a broad range of subjects including quantum physics, particle physics, relativity theory, electromagnetism and optics as well as laboratory modules.
